Musicians’ Union of Maldives (M.U.M) requests members of the Union who are interested in becoming part of the new Executive Committee (EXCO) to propose their names for the posts before the 31st of January 2023.
The 2-year term of the first EXCO of the Union ended on the 29th of November 2022. A press release was previously announced on the 26th of October 2022 stating elections to be held at the end of November, however, no names have been put forward with the posts still remaining vacant. The election of a new EXCO is vital for the functioning of the Union.
Elections will be held for all EXCO posts, which include:
President
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary General
Public Relations Director
Members interested in contesting for the EXCO posts can now submit their expression of interest by sending an email to admin@musiciansunion.mv or by visiting this link http://bit.ly/3k9m11Y. Members are requested to submit their names, along with details of the post they are interested in running for before the 31st of January 2023.
A date for the Annual General Meeting will be announced as soon as the candidates are proposed for the EXCO posts so an election can be held at the earliest possible.
