The Executive Committee of Musicians’ Union of Maldives invites members of the Union to attend the upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on the 16th of February.
The agenda for the meeting involves electing a new Vice-President for the Union as the role remains vacant since the resignation of Vice-President Mahran Mohoamed Majid in November last year.
A new post in the title of Public Relations Director will also be elected.
The new title will eliminate the current roles of Spokesperson and Event Manager and merge the responsibilities of their roles under the new position. The decision to combine the existing roles under one was decided by the Executive Committee and approved by members of the Union as a means of reducing the number of board members to ensure more efficiency.
The role of Associate Officer has also now been removed.
The Union wishes to invite any interested members of the Union to send their names for the role of Vice-President and Public Relations Director. Members are also welcome to propose any issues/ideas they would like to add to the AGM’s agenda. Members can do so by sending an email to admin@musiciansunion.mv by the end of Tuesday, 1st February 2022.
